Equipment Engineer

Responsible for leading the reliability, capability, and scalability of production equipment to support current manufacturing demands and future business expansion. The role owns equipment health, capacity readiness, and technical solutions across maintenance, new line setup, machine conversion, and capital projects. This position acts as a key technical partner to Operations, Engineering, and external suppliers to ensure safe, cost-effective, and sustainable manufacturing growth

About the job:

  • Ensure production equipment meets safety, quality, and uptime requirements through preventive maintenance systems, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Design, review, and implement tooling, fixtures, jigs, and automation solutions to support productivity, quality improvement, and process robustness
  • Lay out project plan with technicians (conceptualization, needed parts & schedule of activities).
  • Establish and maintain systems for critical spare parts management, equipment documentation, calibration compliance, and asset lifecycle tracking to minimize downtime and cost
  • Review requested parts, assist in sourcing of parts, and follow up on the delivery schedule.
  • Lead equipment-related activities for capacity expansion, new product introduction, line conversion, and factory re-layout, including machine selection, layout definition, installation, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and production handover.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calibration of equipment in accordance with internal procedures, quality system requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Generate, control, and sustain all required technical and QMS documentation for equipment and processes, including work instructions, setup checklists, control charts, control plans, and validation records, to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to equipment technicians and junior engineers develop standard work, work instructions, setup checklists, and best practices.
  • Performs maintenance of machines and equipments to be able to produce high-quality products

About you:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, license Engineer would be an added advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics or automotive manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of automation and equipment controls
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Computer application competent, including MS Office and CAD for technical documentation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Must have advanced electronic/electrical/mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team, including other global sites.
  • Has prior knowledge and experience in new machine design and qualification.
