Job Summary

The Environment, Health and Safety Engineer will assist the EH&S Manager in implementing and monitoring Environment, Health, and Safety programs to ensure the protection of employees, property, and the environment. Oversees compliance with regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements while maintaining the effectiveness of EH&S Management Systems and adherence to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

This position will report to Environment, Health and Safety Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and change management reviews to minimize operational and environmental risks.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, safety orientations, awareness programs, and committee meetings to strengthen safety culture.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, including EHS management systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Serve as the site's Pollution Control and Safety Officer, ensuring adherence to applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance activities, permits, audits, and inspections with agencies such as DOLE, DENR, PEZA, and FDA.
  • Oversee Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRA) activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness by maintaining site safety plans, emergency response teams (ERT), and emergency response programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, HR, and external stakeholders to support EHS initiatives, CSR activities, and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Environmental, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, Environmental Compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine EHS laws and regulations, including OSH Standards, DOLE, DENR, and PEZA requirements.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) standards.
  • Knowledge of environmental management, pollution control, waste management, and emergency preparedness and response programs.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, workplace inspections, and EHS audits.
  • Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Skilled in developing and delivering EHS training, safety orientations, and awareness programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to promote and sustain a proactive safety culture while ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance.
  • Willing to be assigned to a full-time, onsite position at the Rosario, Cavite site.
