Job Description:

  • Provide virtual product and technical support for clients with new designs/redesigns (including device selection, BOM reviews, project reviews, alternative devices, etc.) in an effort to help clients overcome design challenges
  • Engage in discussions with clients to select products that meet design requirements, provide documentation, help resolve client challenges, and remove barriers to innovation thus, allowing clients to reduce overall development costs, improve performance, and to get to market faster
  • Guide the client into selecting and using products which best fit their design requirements based on familiarity with Microchip products and solutions
  • Recommend Microchip hardware and software development tools base don customer need
  • Troubleshoot general hardware and software issues
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams worldwide to identify and resolve obstacles in client's design and upgrade Microchip's support offerings
  • Collaboratively help drive client success leading to design wins and revenue

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A strong focus on supporting the customer's success
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
  • Experience in electronics and embedded design
  • Analytical Problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microchip Development Tools and Software desirable but not necessary (MPLAB X IDE, Microchip Studio, ICD4, PICkit 4, etc)
  • Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, AI tools advantageous but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with the Microchip global sales team and clients on a virtual basis
  • Keen attention to detail and organization, and time management
