Job Description

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Employee Health and Wellness Associate to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for coordinating of all clinic activities, performing clerical and administrative functions such as monitoring employee health and wellness benefits, approving, and issuing all letters of authorization for consultation both in-patient and out-patient, acting as liaison officer for concerns for in-patient hospitalization and making sure of that every inquiry must be accommodated.

What's The Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Verify patients coverage and eligibility; assist them with the requirements for hospital benefit application approvals; and clearly explain hospital benefit policies, procedures, and coverage limitations to ensure transparency and informed patient decisions

- Serve as the primary contact person for all health-benefit related concerns; attend meetings and briefings to stay updated on the policies and procedures; and proactively resolve issues related to denied claims, discrepancies, or delays in processing to ensure efficient service delivery

- Approve in-patient admissions, out-patient procedures, diagnostics, and treatments by issuing Letters of Authorization (LOA) in accordance with policy guidelines

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all hospital benefit-related transactions, including the proper filing of Letters of Authorization (LOAs), billing forms, and relate correspondences, while ensuring strict confidentiality of patient records in compliance with data privacy policies.

- Endorse patient coverage details under the hospital benefit program to the attending physician and ensure they understand the admission and discharge process flow to support seamless coordination of care.

Who Are We Looking For

An effective Employee Health and Wellness Associate must possess the following skills:

- Patient Medical Records Management: perform basic patient data-entry tasks, including data verification

- Confidentiality: ensuring all patient data are secured and maintained within the department

- Patient and Family Management: Provide patients and families with a positive experience by interacting courteously with them.

- Administration

Ideally, a candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of Human Resources, Nursing, or other technical fields with general experience of simple office / operational systems.
