The Employee Relations Officer supports the Employee Relations Manager in implementing disciplinary processes, resolving workplace conflicts, and strengthening a culture of accountability, recognition, and engagement. This role partners closely with department heads and supervisors to uphold company values and maintain a respectful, inclusive work environment.
Disciplinary Action Management
- Lead and ensure timely processing of disciplinary cases, including Hear You Out (HYO) reports and audit findings
- Conduct formal investigations and interviews in coordination with concerned departments
- Prepare and issue disciplinary decision documents with complete supporting evidence
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and due process across all departments
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential records of disciplinary cases and resolutions
Conflict Resolution & Mediation
- Act as the primary mediator for employee or interdepartmental conflicts
- Design and implement intervention strategies for unresolved or recurring issues
- Recommend and support proactive measures to prevent conflict escalation
Commendation & Recognition Programs
- Design, implement, and improve employee commendation and recognition programs
- Review and validate commendation nominations and oversee recognition activities
- Maintain documentation of awards and recognition for reporting and engagement initiatives
Coaching & Counseling Support
- Guide supervisors and department heads in conducting coaching and counseling sessions
- Facilitate training or workshops on effective coaching and constructive feedback
- Review LTA and related forms to ensure meaningful reflection and development plans
Culture, Ethics & Engagement
- Collaborate with Cultural and Spiritual Affairs teams to support employee engagement activities
- Promote participation in values-based, well-being, and culture-building programs
- Uphold the company's vision, mission, values, and customer service standards
- Handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism
Flexibility & Collaboration
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
- Adapt to changing priorities and maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate with integrity, empathy, and respect to build trust and positive working relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- At least 34 years of experience as an Employee Relations Officer or in a similar role
- Experience in retail, food and beverage, HR operations, or labor compliance is preferred
- Experience in organizations with 3,000+ employees is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and due process in disciplinary actions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS systems
- Skilled in conflict resolution, investigation, mediation, and evidence evaluation
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
- High level of discretion, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position at Paranaque
- May require off-site work for HR-related activities
- 5 working days per week (Compressed Work Schedule)
