Job Description

The Senior Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Marketing Director and play a key role in both the strategic planning and execution of Email, SMS, and Onsite promotional initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the promotional calendar, optimizing marketing programs through data-driven insights, improving automated trigger campaigns, delivering performance reporting, and managing team priorities.

The role supports multiple e-commerce brands, including AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com, AmericanTrucks.com, Ecklers.com, and Throtl.com.

Key Responsibilities

Promotional Strategy

  • Independently manage and execute the promotional calendar across all brands, including in-house and vendor-funded campaigns
  • Develop and recommend promotional strategies and oversee end-to-end implementation
  • Strategize and optimize Email, SMS, and Onsite copy, subject lines, sender names, pre-headers, and other test variables
  • Propose, execute, and analyze A/B tests, ensuring successful initiatives are implemented across relevant channels

Triggered Automations

  • Continuously optimize automated trigger programs with a focus on key performance indicators
  • Plan, build, and enhance Email and SMS automation workflows
  • Coordinate updates and improvements to transactional messaging

Campaign and Project Management

  • Compile monthly Email and SMS performance reports and develop recommendations for future campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to improve email design and layout
  • Oversee production workflows for retention marketing channels, including Email, SMS, and Onsite
  • Manage ad hoc marketing requests from internal teams such as Customer Service, Social, IT, Product Data, and Video
  • Lead marketing sweepstakes initiatives to support customer acquisition
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to broader direct response marketing strategies
  • Organize and prioritize team workloads to ensure timely and high-quality delivery

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance reports
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership as required

Required Qualifications

  • 57 years of eCommerce marketing experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven experience analyzing key performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions
  • Demonstrated autonomy and sound judgment in decision-making
  • Hands-on experience working with an Email Service Provider (ESP)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience
