- Familiarity with embedded firmware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART), and cooperation with embedded developers.
- Track record of independently delivering prototype to production PCBA design projects.
- Advantageous: Familiarity with hygiene, dispenser, or dosing systems; exposure to global collaborative design environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electronics hardware for dispenser platforms, including sensors, actuators, and wireless communication modules.
- Select cost-efficient and reliable electronic components tailored for mass production, ensuring supply-chain resilience.
- Design and validate low-power circuit topologies, optimized for battery-operated devices.
- Collaborate with embedded firmware developers to ensure tight integration between hardware and software platforms.
- Participate in the architecture definition and selection of microcontrollers, sensor types (capacitive, IR, load cells, etc.), and communication protocols (BLE, NFC, LoRa, etc.).
- Develop and review schematics, PCB layouts, and oversee prototype fabrication and validation.
- Perform EMC/EMI considerations, tolerance analysis, and support regulatory pre-compliance and approvals.
- Lead local prototype builds, testing and validation of functional models in collaboration with industrial design and mechanical engineering.
- Document all development activities in line with Ophardt's global design control standards, including design specifications, verification plans, and manufacturing documentation.
- Support transfer to production, DFM/DFA reviews, and industrialization activities with production and procurement teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the Ingo engineering team.
