Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily dining floor operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and hospitality are consistently delivered
  • Personally attend to VIPs, regulars, and guest concerns or complaints
  • Monitor service flow, table turns, and guest wait times
  • Ensure cleanliness, table setup, and overall dining area readiness
  • Lead, coach, and motivate service staff (servers, hosts, runners)
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings (service standards, promos, menu highlights, upsell focus)
  • Enforce grooming, uniform, and professional conduct standards
  • Assist in training new service crew and regular service refreshers
  • Coordinate with Bar and Kitchen teams for smooth service execution
  • Drive upselling of craft beers, premium drinks, and signature dishes
  • Support implementation of promos and events
  • Monitor average check, suggestive selling, and guest conversion during shifts
  • Provide feedback to management on guest preferences and sales trends
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
  • Enforce alcohol service policies and responsible drinking guidelines
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and POS accuracy (as applicable on shift)
  • Report incidents, service issues, and operational concerns to management
  • Submit shift reports (sales highlights, issues, manpower concerns, guest feedback)
  • Assist in monitoring service KPIs (guest count, table turn, complaints, upsell rates)
  • Recommend improvements to service flow, layout, and guest experience

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least23 years experiencein a supervisory or senior service role in a restaurant, bar, or hotel
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in craft beer, bar service, or premium casual dining is a plus
  • Basic POS knowledge and cash handling familiarity
  • Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically fit to stand and move around during service hours
