Job Description
The Digital Process Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing digital workflows across the organization using Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft 365 applications, and AI enhanced productivity tools. This role supports process modernization by reducing manual work, improving efficiency, strengthening collaboration, and enabling data-driven decision making. The specialist will work closely with business teams to translate operational needs into automated, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Microsoft Digital Workflow & Automation Development
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end automated business workflows using Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, RPA, approvals).
- Integrate automation solutions with Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Planner, Outlook, and other enterprise systems to streamline operational processes
- Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
- Map asis and tobe workflows to support solution architecture and change management.
- Evaluate automation outputs to ensure accuracy, stability, compliance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Collaboration, Document Automation & AI Enhanced Productivity
- Configure and optimize Teamsbased workflows, channels, and integrations to support collaboration and approvals.
- Implement SharePoint document automation (metadata structures, versioning rules, document governance).
- Develop AIassisted solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI Builder, and intelligent document processing models.
- Streamline administrative workflows such as inbox routing, internal approvals, document routing, and request handling.
- Test, troubleshoot, and refine automation solutions to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement & Technology Awareness
- Monitor workflow performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Stay up to date with Microsoft Power Platform, AI driven automation, workflow best practices, and new Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Recommend strategic improvements and propose innovative approaches to increase productivity across departments.
- User Enablement, Training & Support
- Provide hands-on training, demonstrations, and documentation to help teams adopt automated workflows.
- Gather user feedback to refine and improve automation solutions.
- Support business units in understanding how automation and AI tools can optimize their operations.
- Promote best practices for workflow design, efficient collaboration, and responsible AI use.
- Key Responsibilities
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices
- Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and updates
- Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces tailored to business needs.
- Design and build custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven).
- Connect and manage data across Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, SharePoint, and external APIs.
- Maintain technical documentation for solutions and processes.
- Train end-users and internal teams on Power Platform applications.
- Integrate approval processes, notifications, and document management systems.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, RPA, process approvals).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Forms, Planner, and broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Experience analyzing business processes and designing workflow improvements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI Builder, or similar AI/automation tools.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical users.
- Experience in user training, adoption support, or digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents/Copilot Studio).
- Ideally 3-5 years relevant experience
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Azure Functions, and API integrations.
