POWER BI DEVELOPER

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong experience in API integrations and end-to-end dashboard development to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
This role will focus on building dashboards from scratch, integrating multiple data sources, and delivering user-friendly, high-performance reporting solutions that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power BI Development
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- Develop dashboards from scratch, including layout, structure, and data flow
- Create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards with clear navigation and drill-down functionality
- Ensure dashboards are fast, responsive, and easy to use
2. KPI Dashboard & Data Visualization
- Build a centralised dashboard displaying key company KPIs
- Enable drill-through functionality, allowing users to click on dashboard elements and view underlying data sources
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
3. Data Integration & API Management
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including REST APIs, databases, and cloud platforms
- Extract, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
4. Data Modelling & Transformation
- Build and maintain data models using Power Query and DAX
- Structure datasets for efficient reporting and performance
- Perform data validation and transformation
5. Automation & Performance Optimisation
- Automate data refreshes and reporting workflows
- Optimise dashboards for speed and performance
- Continuously improve reporting processes
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Present dashboards and explain insights clearly
- Iterate based on feedback to improve usability and functionality
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer / BI Developer
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards from scratch (portfolio or examples required)
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI (Dashboards, DAX, Power Query)
- Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON) and integrating multiple data sources
- Strong understanding of data modelling and SQL
- Experience with ETL processes and data transformation
- Ability to create user-friendly, visually intuitive dashboards
- Strong focus on performance and responsiveness
- Excellent English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Experience with automation tools or scripting (Python, etc.)

Work from Home Requirements (Must have before the start date)

- Noise Canceling Headset (Plantronics)
- Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
- Must be comfortable working with a Monitoring Software (for payroll and timekeeping purposes only)
- Webcam - Contractors must have a working webcam
