We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Forensics Analyst to join our cybersecurity team at Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3). In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting end-to-end forensic investigations to support incident response efforts and legal proceedings. 🧠 Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and prioritize multiple forensic case assignments, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Acquire and preserve digital evidence while maintaining full chain-of-custody integrity.
- Analyze systems, networks, memory dumps, and various ESI data sources in depth.
- Prepare clear, defensible technical reports for internal use and external legal purposes.
- Provide expert testimony or technical briefings as needed.
- Test and validate new forensic tools and software to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with incident response, legal, and compliance teams to investigate root causes and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Stay current with digital forensics methodologies and tools through training and community engagement.
✅ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital forensics (corporate or consulting environments).
- Proficient in forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, and open-source tools like Volatility and Autopsy.
- Solid knowledge of legal evidence handling and chain-of-custody principles.
- Experience in preparing reports and offering expert testimony.
- GCFA, GCFE, or other forensics-related certifications preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participation in digital forensics associations is a plus.
