ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a mid-level Digital Designer with strong presentation and instructional design capabilities. This role focuses on transforming complex, content-heavy information into structured, visually compelling, and user-centered materials.
The ideal candidate does not simply design slides they analyze content, restructure it logically, apply strong visual hierarchy, and ensure formatting precision across all outputs.
The company is a PM/QA consulting firm, and as such, work is project-based and cyclical. During peak periods, the focus is on training and instructional materials. During lighter cycles, the role supports executive presentations, marketing collaterals, dashboards, and other presentation-forward initiatives.
This is a remote, contract-based role operating on a 9:00 AM 5:00 PM EST schedule.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate complex business, system, or technical content into clear, structured, and visually engaging PowerPoint presentations and Storyline modules.
- Apply instructional design thinking to organize content logically and enhance user comprehension.
- Present data in hierarchical, digestible formats using charts, diagrams, infographics, and structured layouts.
- Ensure strict formatting consistency across all materials (alignment, spacing, typography, paragraph structure, branding).
- Collaborate with business analysts, trainers, and stakeholders to fully understand project requirements.
- Attend client sessions (e.g., UAT meetings) as needed to gain contextual understanding of systems and workflows.
- Support development of executive briefings, pitch decks, dashboards, marketing materials, and branded presentations during non-training cycles.
- Improve and refine existing materials for clarity, structure, and visual impact.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in presentation design and/or instructional design.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint/Word/Excel formatting).
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar e-learning tools.
- Familiarity with additional design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to independently process and restructure content not rely on verbatim copy.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, particularly in formatting accuracy.
- Experience designing training materials, system documentation, or structured presentations.
- Ability to manage varying workload intensity and adapt to project-based cycles.
