Job Description

About the Role

Sunlight Hotels and Resorts is looking for a creative and data-driven Digital & Social Media Officer to manage the online presence of our three properties. You will be the driving force behind our digital storytelling — crafting compelling content, managing our social channels, optimizing our website visibility, and turning digital touchpoints into bookings. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is equally comfortable behind a camera, inside a content calendar, and inside a Google Analytics dashboard.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Plan, manage, and grow the social media presence of all three Sunlight properties across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with promotions, seasonal campaigns, and property events
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
  • Monitor competitor accounts and industry trends to keep content fresh and relevant
  • Manage paid social campaigns including boosted posts and Meta Ads

Content Creation

  • Produce high-quality photos, videos, reels, and graphics for use across digital platforms
  • Write compelling captions, blog posts, and promotional copy that reflect each property's voice and personality
  • Coordinate with department heads and on-site teams to capture content during events, peak seasons, and new offerings
  • Maintain a content library of resort imagery, video assets, and branded templates

Website Management

  • Oversee and regularly update the website content for all three properties (text, images, promotions, room descriptions)
  • Ensure all landing pages are optimized for conversion, mobile-friendly, and up to date
  • Coordinate with web developers or platform support for technical updates and improvements
  • Monitor website performance and user behavior through Google Analytics and similar tools

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Implement on-page SEO best practices across all property websites
  • Conduct keyword research relevant to each property's market and target audience
  • Optimize meta titles, descriptions, image alt tags, and URL structures
  • Track keyword rankings and organic traffic growth; prepare monthly reports with recommendations

Email Marketing

  • Build and manage the email database for all three properties, ensuring GDPR/data privacy compliance
  • Design and deploy email campaigns for promotions, packages, loyalty updates, and seasonal offers
  • Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data; A/B test subject lines and content formats
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Revenue teams to align email sends with booking targets

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on key digital performance metrics across all channels monthly (reach, engagement, website traffic, email performance, ad spend vs. ROI)
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports for management that tie digital activity to business outcomes
  • Use data insights to continuously improve content strategy, posting frequency, and campaign targeting

Online Reputation Management

  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews across Google, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and other OTA review platforms
  • Flag recurring feedback themes to management and relevant department heads
  • Uphold a consistent, professional, and guest-first tone across all responses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a similar role — hospitality experience is a strong advantage
  • Proficient in Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and basic SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
  • Strong photography and video editing skills; proficiency in Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or CapCut
  • Working knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
  • Excellent written English with a strong eye for detail and brand consistency
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously without losing quality
  • Self-starter who can work independently and proactively — you won't wait to be told what to post
  • Willingness to occasionally work on weekends or holidays to cover resort events and real-time content needs

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Exposure to multi-property digital marketing across diverse hospitality brands
  • Collaborative team environment with direct access to management
  • Employee rates on accommodations and F&B across all Sunlight properties
  • Professional development and upskilling opportunities
  • Career growth within an expanding hospitality group
