Description
Willis Towers Watson is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our software development team. As a full-time member of our software development team, you will be responsible for software configuration management related tasks.
This position will work closely with the Application development team to ensure that final releases are up to organizational standards and are released successfully without any negative impact to our clients.
The Role
Essential Job Duties
- Building and deploying solutions to non-production and production environments to support the Software Development Life Cycle for the Health and Wealth Technology group.
- Requires after-hours release support, so a flexible time schedule is required
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, building/deploying .Net applications.
- Azure Cloud experience
- Development expertise in Azure Artificial Intelligence / Python Exposure with 1- 2 years of experience
- Development experience with C#, .NET Framework, PowerShell
- DevOps experience working with Git Enterprise and GitHub Actions / Workflows for PaaS deployments
- Knowledge in Docker / K8s / IAAC (such as Bicep)
- Basic database knowledge in SQL Server and TSQL
- Experience with Azure PowerShell
- Basic troubleshooting skills to assist with API and Web development, Windows Server administration
- U.K. working hours, at a minimum Availability during off hours and weekends.
- Strong problem-solving skills required, and ability to follow through to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support a software development teams timelines and targets.
- Ability and desire to be a strong team player.
- Familiarity with change management systems and processes.
- Familiarity with principles of continuous integration and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Education
- BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science and 5+ year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and or experience required.
