Job Purpose:
The DevOps Engineer ensures the reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure and manages the automation initiatives for software development and IT operation improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal AWS infrastructure cost without compensating the quality, performance, availability, and reliability
- Optimal utilization of DevOps environments, resources, and tools
- Maintain the infrastructure at acceptable user experience
- Resolve performance, availability, and infrastructure-related live issues with minimal downtime.
- Improve developer experience
- Adopt industry standard, effective, and relevant DevOps culture and practices.
- Document DevOps solutions and runbooks
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering, or any related field or equivalent experience
- Two (2) or more years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar Software Engineering role
- Hands-on experience managing production workloads in AWS
- Good understanding of AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, SQS, IAM) and networking concepts and implementation in cloud (VPC)
- Knowledgeable in cloud architecture and security best practices
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge with different databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Proven experience in monitoring, logging, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, etc.)
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CodeDeploy, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Linux and/or Windows administration and scripting (Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell)
- Preferably with experience in integrating SAST into pipelines (SonarQube, Snyk)
- Willing to work in MOA Square, Pasay City
