DevOps Engineer

Provide Cloud Delivery services to approximately 9000 users in a consistent, reliable, secure and efficient manner within agreed service levels.

Focussing on automation, configuration, documentation, optimization and support of infrastructure deployments.

Implement new services and/or Implement enhancements to existing infrastructure.

Promoting and developing automation/orchestration to support scalable infrastructure.

Azure experience mandatory, AWS and other cloud platforms desirable.

-Understanding of networking and security principles operating in a cloud environment mandatory.

-Solid hands on experience with IaC Tools

-Integration experience with REST APIs (ServiceNow, Azure Graph APIs)

-Experience in service management using ServiceNow desirable.

-CI/CD as part of SDLC support and deployments.

-Source-code management using GIT-based repositories

-An SME with Powershell, YAML, ARM, JSON templates, Terraform and Azure DevOps/GitHub

-Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure

-Understanding the needs of stakeholders and technical designs, being able to translate this into code

-Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

-Testing and examining code written by others, analysing results and providing feedback

-Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

-Identifying technical problems with rapid development of IaC updates and fixes

-Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
