Developer / Configuration Specialist

Description

We are seeking a Developer / Configuration Specialist to join our team in Manila. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and configuring software applications to meet our clients needs. This role requires a mix of technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The candidate should be open to working a night-shift schedule in a hybrid arrangement, with two (2) days onsite at our Makati City office.

Responsibilities

• Technical, hands-on implementation and advanced support consultant with insurance carrier expertise.
• Responsible for client implementations, configuration and development; advanced production support, enhancements, defect resolution, and customer support.
• Manage and/or work with many clients directly and indirectly in all phases of the client life cycle.
• Understand technical, educational, business management, internal responsibilities, and maintain accountability with assistance from management and peers.

Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on technical design, development, configuration and implementation of XML, JQuery, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, applications
• Has systems implementation and client systems integration experience
• Has database/SQL experience
• Has previous relevant development experience (at least 4 years)
• Able to learn fast, work independently and highly motivated, self-starter
• Able to work with client and product teams to help come up with product and solution designs
• Able to grasp client business processes, procedures, workflows and process nuances
• Able to configure the product or system to fit client specific needs (business process, workflows, reports)
• Able to gather client feedback, create documentation and communicate with the product team
• Has good verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to troubleshoot, reverse engineer, provide production support services and adhere to SLAs
• Some knowledge of Origami platform is highly desirable
• Some knowledge of US Property and Casualty Insurance
