Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and solutions-driven Supervisor or Manager to support complex SaaS and technology accounting engagements. This role will initially focus on addressing Deferred COGS reconciliation challenges and process optimization, with long-term responsibility supporting revenue and cost accounting across multiple clients and engagements.

It is a plus to have experience working across RevPro and Oracle, handling high-volume transactional environments, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen accounting accuracy, system alignment, and scalable reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Deferred COGS Reconciliation & Balance Management
  • Lead reconciliation and monitoring of Deferred COGS balances across revenue recognition and inventory systems.
  • Perform detailed reconciliation of Deferred COGS balances at consolidated and Business Area (BA) levels.
  • Investigate and resolve mismatches between:
    • Revenue recognition triggers
    • Inventory transaction outflows
    • BA code misalignments
    • Sales order and Revenue Contract mapping
  • Design and implement reconciliation methodologies to address cumulative unreconciled balances.
  • Evaluate completeness and accuracy of reconciliation reports and supporting schedules.
  • Perform root cause analysis of reconciliation differences and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Assess monthly Deferred COGS reconciliation workflows, including manual processes and system dependencies.
  • Design and maintain scalable reconciliation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to:
    • Reduce manual transaction matching
    • Improve data alignment between RevPro and Oracle
    • Standardize BA coding alignment between revenue and inventory transactions
    • Enhance audit trail and documentation quality
  • Recommend system integration, automation, or reporting enhancements to improve reconciliation accuracy.
  • Systems & Data Analysis
  • Analyze high-volume transaction data across RevPro and Oracle to identify mismatches and inefficiencies.
  • Validate system logic relating to:
    • Deferred COGS recognition timing
    • Inventory cost release processes
    • Revenue contract linkage to inventory movements
  • Collaborate with Finance Teams, RevOps, and IT teams to support reporting enhancements and system improvements.
  • Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with revenue accounting, inventory accounting, and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on reconciliation status, risk areas, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support audit inquiries, internal control documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate across multiple engagements supporting SaaS and technology clients.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise and mentor staff performing reconciliation and data analysis work.
  • Provide technical guidance on Deferred COGS and revenue accounting matters.
  • Support training and development initiatives to strengthen technical accounting and system expertise within the team.
  • Controls and Documentation Enhancement
  • Develop standardized reconciliation templates, documentation, and control procedures.
  • Strengthen control design around Deferred COGS accounting.
  • Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal control and ASC 606 requirements.
Qualifications

Technical Accounting and Industry Experience

  • 5-10+ years of accounting experience (Supervisor or Manager level).
  • Strong experience and familiarity with:
    • Deferred COGS accounting
    • ASC 606 Revenue recognition
    • SaaS / Technology industry accounting
  • Experience supporting complex account reconciliations and balance remediation initiatives.
  • Experience working in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Prior work experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or US-listed company, or a similarly reputable professional services organization is a plus.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as those offered by recognized professional bodies (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA, CISA).
  • A proven track record of successful leadership, including demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams, develop talent, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Extensive experience working across RevPro and Oracle in high-volume transactional environments, with a strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve accounting accuracy, system integration, and scalable reconciliation workflows.
