Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in DevOps, data engineering, and database administration to join our collaborative team. The role focuses on automation, performance tuning, and supporting large-scale, high-availability systems. You will contribute to our transition to AWS Aurora and work closely with experts in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to learn and grow.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes
* Supporting databases: index maintenance, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and script execution
* Automating database and product integration processes
* Migrating databases from SQL Server/Oracle to Aurora PostgreSQL
* Collaborating on automation and data engineering initiatives
* Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
* Executing scripts for maintenance and integration
* Engaging in cross-team communication and knowledge transfer
What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years experience in database administration, DevOps, or data engineering roles
* Hands-on experience with automation (Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting)
* Solid skills in SQL Server and/or Aurora PostgreSQL administration
* Proven ability in performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, and script execution
* Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
What Will Put You Ahead: Preferred Qualifications
* AWS cloud experience (certification preferred; hands-on experience highly valued)
* Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Sumo Logic, or Grafana
* Experience supporting large-scale, multi-tenant applications and high-availability systems
* Bonus points for adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
