Job Description
Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities Run / Operations Support
Provide L2/L3 support for MS SQL Server databases and operational support in production, including incident, problem, and service request handling.
Perform investigations related to application and day-to-day business transaction related issues Incident & Problem Management
Analyze and resolve database-related incidents within SLA commitments.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issues and implement preventive actions.
Work closely with application and middleware teams to troubleshoot end-to-end issues. Change & Release Support
Support database changes, deployments, and patching activities in coordination with change and release management processes.
Review and validate SQL scripts to ensure performance efficiency and adherence to standards.
Assist in application process regression testing and post-release validation for database changes. Data Management & Security
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with client and organizational standards.
Support audit, compliance, and DR/BCP activities (including backup verification and restore drills). Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain and update runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles for change and release operations.
Contribute to continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives within AMS.
Share knowledge and best practices with junior resources and cross-functional teams. ________________________________________ Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL and Stored Procedures).
Experience supporting databases in production AMS or managed services environments. ________________________________________ Nice-to-Have / Additional Skills
Exposure to high-availability and DR solutions (Failover Clustering, Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping).
Experience C#, VB.net, PLSQL
Knowledge of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL processes. ________________________________________ Behavioral & Professional Skills

Ability to work effectively in shift-based or on-call AMS support models.
