The Data Scientist is responsible for harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to improve supply chain efficiency and strategic decision-making. This role plays a pivotal part in refining demand forecasts, streamlining inventory management, and boosting responsiveness across the supply network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and implement statistical and machine learning models to address operational and strategic challenges.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis, including collection, preprocessing, exploration, visualization, and insight generation.
- Partner with cross-functional teamsplanning, procurement, production, logistics, and ITto convert data into practical solutions.
- Analyze supply chain data to uncover patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement efforts using data-driven approaches.
- Present analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and business audiences.
- Work closely with Data Engineering to maintain high data integrity and ensure scalable solutions.
- Document analytical processes and stay informed about the latest trends and tools in data science.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics.
- Advanced studies or certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence are a plus.
- At least one year of experience in analytics, data science, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
- Background in areas like forecasting, pricing strategy, marketing analytics, or operational efficiency.
- Skilled in programming languages such as Python or R, and proficient in SQL and visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Anaplan), and data pipeline architecture.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Open to a hybrid work arrangement based in Ortigas, Pasig.
