Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Tableau, along with a passion for transforming complex healthcare, operational, and patient outcome data into actionable insights.

This role plays a critical part in strengthening clinical operations, revenue cycle performance, patient adherence programs, business expansion, and overall organizational efficiency. You will build predictive models, analyze patient and operational datasets, and develop data frameworks that support clinical leaders, operations teams, and executive decision-making across multiple sleep medicine entities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand healthcare business processesincluding scheduling, diagnostics, treatment, resupply programs, and financial workflowsto identify opportunities for optimization through advanced analytics.
  • Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret structured and unstructured healthcare datasets to develop insights that improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient engagement.
  • Design statistical analyses, predictive models, and experiments that uncover drivers of patient adherence, operational performance, and revenue impact.
  • Build dashboards, automated reports, and performance monitoring tools in Tableau or similar BI platforms to support clinical and executive decision-making.
  • Identify data quality issues, operational bottlenecks, and performance variability across multi-entity workflows, recommending evidence-based improvements.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations leaders to translate analytical findings into actionable strategies that enhance patient care pathways and organizational performance.
  • Manage and explore datasets ranging from small clinical spreadsheets to large-scale operational or device-generated data (scaling to millions of rows as needed).
  • Develop automated processes, scripts, and pipelines that reduce manual workload, strengthen data integrity, and enhance operational consistency across business entities.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI models, KPIs, and reporting structures to build best-in-class data products for a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or advanced Data Analyst, Healthcare Analyst, or similar.
  • Strong expertise in Python
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Proven experience creating dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau.
  • Experience working with moderate-to-large datasets in healthcare, operations, or similar environments, and integrating multiple data sources with the ability to scale analyses.
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical insights clearly through dashboards, presentations, and reports to both clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable attending stakeholder or client meetings as a subject-matter expert while remaining primarily focused on internal analytics and insights.
  • Experience with healthcare datasets (EHR, practice management systems, diagnostic device data, patient adherence data) is a plus.
