Title: Data Science Officer
The
Data Science Officer will apply advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive smarter decision-making and optimize supply chain performance. This role is key to enhancing forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and supply agility across the value chain.
- Develop, test, and deploy statistical and machine learning models to solve business challenges.
- Conduct end-to-end data analysis: data gathering, cleaning, exploration, visualization, and storytelling.
- Collaborate with planners, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and tech teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Identify trends and bottlenecks in supply chain operations and recommend improvements.
- Support automation and optimization initiatives through analytics.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality and scalability in partnership with Data Engineering teams.
- Document methodologies and stay updated with emerging data science technologies.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- Master's degree or certification in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI is an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year in data science, analytics, or related roles.
- Experienced performing statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
- Exposure to domains like demand forecasting, pricing, marketing analytics, or operations optimization.
- Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ERP systems (SAP, Anaplan), and data pipeline concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Willing to be assigned on a hybrid setup in Ortigas, Pasig.
