Job Description

The Packaging Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in organizing, managing, and preparing packaging data that supports compliance, quality, and operational planning. This includes data related to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) tax reporting, error management, quality specifications and ice production forecasting.

The role ensures accurate, timely and consistent data delivery across systems and teams, enabling packaging cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Packaging, Finance, Operations, and IT, reporting directly to the Packaging Data Lead within the HelloConnect team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Data Preparation & Analysis
  • Collect, prepare, and validate data for EPR compliance, packaging quality, and ice production forecasting.
  • Use advanced SQL and Excel skills to query, consolidate, and manipulate data from multiple systems.
  • Support the analysis of packaging errors and quality trends, providing structured data insights for corrective actions.
  • Ensure data completeness, consistency, and integrity across all reporting streams.
  1. Data Governance & Reporting
  • Maintain and update packaging master data, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies across reporting systems (EPR, error management, quality specifications).
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve reporting templates, dashboards, and data management processes.
  • Ensure timely submission of EPR and internal reports with a high degree of accuracy and audit readiness.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders on packaging data and reporting matters.
  • Collaborate with Packaging, Finance, and Operations teams to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Support internal audits and external reporting requirements by delivering validated and well-structured data.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, visibility, and data reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a data-intensive or reporting-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of data organization, reporting methodologies, and basic understanding of business and tax processes (EPR familiarity is a plus).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel; experience with Google Workspace and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) preferred.
  • Familiarity with planning and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Availability to work within the designated time zone of the assigned region (UK, EU, Canada, or Asia-Pacific).
