Job Overview

This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Data Governance, focusing on jurisdictional compliance and risk mitigation.

Job Highlights

Schedule: MonFri, 08:00 AM 05:00 PM CST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Risk & Governance: Responsible for identifying and reporting Information Security and operational risks.
  • Regulatory Research: Conducts independent research using third-party government sources (GIS Maps, Tax Assessor Portals, State Corp Searches) to validate data.
  • Process Improvement: Provides strategic recommendations to Technology partners and Management to close control gaps.
  • Strict Compliance: Manages high-pressure Go Live deadlines twice monthly (1st and 15th) to meet Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced Data Manipulation: Requires proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, IF statements, and Macros.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or Electronic Records Management (ERM).
  • Industry Knowledge: Preferred background in Fire Safety Systems and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Codes.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Education: Four-year degree preferred
  • Experience:Minimum of 4 years in data scrubbing, data management, or client onboarding.
  • Minimum 1 year specifically in Data/Records Management (Required).
  • Soft Skills: High-level critical thinking, ability to influence decision-making, and strong ambassador skills for risk management.
