Data Platform Engineer

Assists with the data platform blueprint and design, encompassing the relevant data platform components. Collaborates with the Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between systems and data models.

Summary: As a Data Platform Engineer, you will engage in the design and implementation of data platform solutions, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams, including Integration Architects and Data Architects, to create a cohesive data environment. You will also be responsible for addressing challenges that arise within the data platform, providing innovative solutions to enhance performance and reliability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Take on the operational and environment-related responsibilities for Talend platforms Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Talend Big Data. - Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Linux. - Strong understanding of data integration techniques and methodologies. - Experience in data modeling and database design. - Proficient in troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows. - Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and architectures. Additional Information: - This position is based at our Manila office - Strong Linux experience - Comfortable working on Talend Linux servers and handling application related tasks independently, with minimal reliance on offshore support - Talend application operations - Able to manage application start/stop procedures, analyze logs, and perform root cause investigations when issues arise. - SQL Server application database maintenance - Can support both DEV and PRD environments as part of regular maintenance. - Job deployment knowledge - Although our CICD pipelines are already operational, the resource should understand the deployment workflow and support job deployments when needed. - CICD pipeline administration - Able to maintain our Docker based CICD pipelines on the CICD server and onboard new jobs/dealers as required. - Talend job development support (as bandwidth allows) - Helpful if the resource can assist with development tasks when capacity permits.
