As a Data Innovation Strategist, you are responsible for building a unified, reliable data ecosystem that empowers smarter decision-making across the agency. This role consolidates and analyzes data from multiple sources, ensures data integrity, protects confidentiality, and supports leadership by transforming insights into actionable strategies. It drives agency-wide reporting while enabling department leads to manage their own team-level reports through structured support and tools.

Data Integration and System Management

  • Design and maintain a centralized data ecosystem for organizational insights.
  • Gather and centralize data from diverse sources, including employee surveys, exit interviews, evaluation results, and HR records.
  • Clean, validate, and standardize data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Continuously improve data integration processes and tools for scalability.

Agency-wide Reporting

  • Develop consolidated dashboards and reports highlighting trends in engagement, attrition, workload, and performance, among others.
  • Collaborate with management to identify data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Interpret data to uncover patterns, correlations, and strategic opportunities.
  • Present insights to executive leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Highlight cross-departmental patterns and systemic issues impacting organizational health.

Department-Level Reporting Enablement

  • Provide department heads with filtered datasets, templates, and self-service dashboards for drill-down analysis.
  • Facilitate reporting timelines by scheduling and coordinating meetings between department heads and management.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of reports, as well as follow-through on action points.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify agency-wide issues and recommend strategic interventions.
  • Empower department heads to address team-level issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish a feedback loop to continuously improve data quality, insights, and reporting processes.

Employee Growth and Empowerment

  • Maintain KPIs and KRAs for all roles, ensuring relevance, objectivity, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Adopt a holistic perspective by integrating quantitative metrics with qualitative insights.
  • Ensure regular distribution of performance-related information throughout the agency to foster transparency and accountability.
  • Support business and performance reviews with actionable insights that consider individual growth, team dynamics, and organizational impact.

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • 2-4 years in data analysis, business intelligence, systems administration, organizational development, strategy, or related fields.
  • Experience in an agency, tech startup, or digital marketing environments is a plus.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with leadership teams.

Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Data cleaning and transformation (SQL, Power Query, JQL, excel formulas or similar).
  • Proficiency in data integration, analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with project management systems (Jira, Trello) and data governance standards.
  • Ability to create documentation and SOPs.

Analytical and Communication Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
