SUMMARY
The Data Engineer delivers data solutions for client projects to produce positive outcomes for clients using client methodologies and standards. You will be assigned a few key projects to work on. You will also be a member of the client Intelligence Team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with other team members to engineer data outcomes for clients.
- Support a Microsoft Fabric-first approach and medallion architecture.
- Ingest, organize, transform, and analyze raw data with business goals and outcomes in mind.
- Improve data quality and efficiency while maintaining datasets.
- Understand and leverage client standards, processes, and recommended approaches.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for data process improvements and efficiencies.
- Ensure data readiness for analytics, AI, or other outcomes.
- Support agile work processes and keep work management systems current (i.e., Azure DevOps), and document client work effectively.
- Document client work appropriately.
- Complete development within service-level agreements and cycle time expectations as defined by the team.
- Manage various work projects to meet client high-quality standards.
- Perform QA on your work and the work of teammates to ensure the best outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
- Three to five years of professional development experience.
- SQL, KQL, Python, PySpark, and data modeling experience is essential.
- Subject matter expertise in data loading patterns, data architectures, and orchestration processes.
- Ability to ingest and transform data using notebooks, pipelines, dataflows, or event streams.
- Ability to store and query data in lakehouses, data warehouses, and event houses.
- Power BI experience will also be taken into consideration.
- Prior experience in an MSP environment is preferred, but candidates without it may also be considered.
- Ability to adapt to meet clients needs.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Aptitude for learning new skills and patterns.
