Job Description

Executive Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a global life sciences and clinical research company. Our client is looking for a Sr. Systems Developer (Data Engineer). In this role, you will play a crucial part in performing the systems analysis, building, development, testing, and support of highly complex technical information system components.

This job is based in Libis, Quezon City/Pasig City and has a Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) work set-up and night shift schedule (8:00 PM 5:00 AM PST)

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure weekly EHR data updates for existing Vestrum panel physicians.
  • Integrate new panel members from existing EMR systems.
  • Lead the data integrations, ETL process, and database operations based per collaborators requirement.
  • Maintain and improve existing integrations while adding new EMR integrations
  • Continue to improve automated quality assurance functions to validate incoming data and ensure data is loaded into the warehouse accurately.
  • Normalize various EMR data into Data Warehouse and analytical database.
  • Maintain mapping tables for use by analysts (physicians, drugs, dosage forms and strengths, etc.)
  • Link and transform patient activity data into standardized outputs.
  • Implement requirements for backup and recovery, ensuring successful nightly recoverable backups of all databases.
  • Maintain data base documentation describing data elements.
  • Develop new data architecture and processes to improve performance using AWS analytical services.
  • Proficiency in Python & Pyspark.
  • Ensure database security and compliance with HIPAA, GDPR.
  • Manage operations including distribution of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Communicate and maintain strong relations with collaborators.

Key Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Previous roles showcasing the proficiencies necessary to fulfil the job responsibilities (similar to 5+ years) or an equivalent blend of education, training, & experience.
  • SQL Server to AWS migration using analytical services.
  • Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with attention to detail.
  • Strong logical, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in web development and scripting languages like Python and Shell.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database schema.
  • Expertise in relational database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with server environments (Windows, Linux/Unix), Apache, IIS.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with validated systems and the clinical industry (preferred).
  • Project management and leadership experience.
