Job Post: Developer / Data Engineering & Visualization Expert

Location: Mandaluyong, Manila

Work Setup: Hybrid 3 days onsite/week

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)

Working Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Manila Time.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Developer / Data Engineering & Visualization Expert to join its Information Technology Department. This role involves designing dashboards, building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making for various internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to identify insights and translate data into meaningful visual stories.
  • Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines and design data warehouse schemas.
  • Develop scalable data transformations using Azure Databricks, PySpark/Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
  • Integrate solutions with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS) and leverage Delta Live Tables (DLT).
  • Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) using ADF or PostgreSQL logical replication.
  • Create event-driven data pipeline triggers using Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity across all visualizations and datasets.
  • Design interactive and user-friendly dashboards for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and executives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in data engineering and visualization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Design, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data visualization, BI development, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (preferred) and familiarity with Tableau, Qlik, or other BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Medallion Architecture, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark/Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and ADLS Gen2.
  • Exposure to data warehouse design, SQL pools, and large-scale data modeling.
  • Strong SQL, Python, and DAX skills.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and CDC integrations.
  • Background in event-driven pipelines using Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
  • Strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into accessible insights.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
