We're looking for a Data Engineer who thrives in building scalable data platforms and wants to work on a high-impact, data-intensive project—all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

What You'll Be Building:

Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured (CSV) data ingestion
• Build and optimize pipelines for data lakes and warehouses (Azure Data Lake, Synapse)
• Ensure reliable, high-volume data processing

Platform Integration & API Data Flows

• Develop and maintain REST API integrations and system connectors
• Integrate with third-party systems (e.g., HMIS, partner platforms)
• Enable seamless data flow across platforms and reporting tools

Data Quality, Governance & Compliance

• Implement data validation, integrity, and deduplication processes
• Build systems aligned with single source of truth principles
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and regulatory requirements

Collaboration & Engineering Excellence

• Work closely with engineers to align data & application architecture
• Contribute to Agile workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Help shape cloud and data architecture decisions

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• 4+ years in Data Engineering / Backend Data Systems
• Strong experience with:
• SQL Server & relational databases
• Azure Data Stack (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory)
• ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data platforms
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools
• Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, version control

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or government systems
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
• Background in compliance-heavy environments (HUD, Medicaid, etc.)
