Summary:We are seeking a Data Business Analyst with strong SQL, data integration, and stakeholder engagement experience to support data-driven initiatives and system enhancements.
This role requires a hands-on professional who can analyze data across multiple systems, define data mappings, and translate business requirements into actionable specifications for developers.
The ideal candidate has a strong balance of technical data skills and business analysis expertise, with proven experience working in data migration, ETL, or system integration projects.
🹠Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements
- Write clear functional specifications, user stories, and data requirements documentation
- Use SQL to extract, analyze, and validate data across multiple systems
- Define and document source-to-target data mappings for integration and migration projects
- Work closely with developers to ensure requirements are accurately implemented
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
- Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution
- Analyze data issues and provide insights to improve data quality and processes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, backlog refinement, etc.)
ðŸ Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)
✠Strong SQL (Required)
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries from scratch
- Proficient in joins, aggregations, and querying multiple tables
- Experience using SQL for data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting
✠Data Mapping & Data Integration
- Experience with:
- Data migration or system integration projects
- ETL processes or data pipelines
- Ability to:
- Create source-to-target mapping documents
- Define data transformation rules and logic
- Understanding of data flow across systems
✠Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience conducting:
- Requirements gathering sessions
- Stakeholder meetings/workshops
- Ability to:
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
- Produce documentation usable by development teams
🹠Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence
- Exposure to data warehousing, data lakes, or cloud data platforms
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools (for validation/analysis)
