Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprisescale data architectures. This role is a technical leadership position within data delivery teams, focused on building scalable, secure, costoptimized, and reusable data platforms, primarily on Microsoft Azure.

What you'll be responsible for:

Lead and own the endtoend data architecture strategy (ingestion, storage, transformation, orchestration, and consumption)
Design and implement highperformance, scalable data architectures aligned with business goals
Model data for reuse, interoperability, security, and accessibility (ERDs, Star/Snowflake, physical models)
Architect and oversee data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
Design efficient, resilient, and costoptimized data pipelines
Ensure data accessibility for citizen developers, data scientists, AI/ML, and application integrations
Establish and enforce data governance, quality frameworks, and enterprise standards
Optimize cloud cost management for data solutions
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate objectives into architecture
Mentor junior data architects and influence architecture best practices across the enterprise
Drive standardization in data transformation and analytics logic

Technical Skills & Experience:

510 years overall experience, with 5+ years as a Data Architect or similar role
Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Analytics Platform-Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Azure DevOps
Strong experience with SQL, Spark, Python, R
Experience with Power BI and analytics consumption layers
Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
Familiarity with Azure AI/ML services, Event Hub, Stream Analytics
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting tools (e.g., Ansible)
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance

Nice to Have:

Experience defining enterprise data architecture frameworks
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, IBM Certified Data Architect, or similar
