Job Overview:
Senior Auditor Audit Data Analytics will support the Audit service line by performing advanced data analytics for audit and assurance engagements. The role is responsible for data extraction, cleaning, validation, and uploading into proprietary systems, as well as developing and enhancing Power BI models and dashboards to provide actionable insights. This position also supports the evaluation of information systems as part of the Audit Approach and collaborates with engagement teams to manage analytics tasks and meet audit deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with technical experts to develop and implement procedures for extracting and analysing large and diverse data sets from widely used Financial Applications.
- Extract, clean, transform, and upload large datasets from various sources into proprietary audit software.
- Perform data integrity checks and ensure accuracy and completeness of datasets used in audit engagements.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to identify needs based on the type of Audit Data Analytics to be performed to ensure relevant information is extracted and appropriately presented.
- Collaborate with audit teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
- Upload processed information/data on Audit Data Analytics tools perform data integrity checks and identify data anomalies before sharing with the requestors.
- Assisting in the development and customisation of visualisation templates and dashboards for Audit Data Analytics based on the needs of the engagement, including understanding and interpreting relevant results with engagement teams in an audit context.
- Develop, modify, and maintain Power BI models and dashboards to support audit planning, execution, and reporting.
- Document data processes, models, and dashboard logic for audit trail and knowledge sharing.
- Provide training and support to audit staff on data analytics tools and techniques.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in audit analytics and data visualisation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with financial/ERP systems (e.g., TechnologyOne, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite, Xero, MYOB).
- Strong background in analyzing large datasets using Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and ETL tools (IDEA, Alteryx).
- Hands-on experience building, scheduling, and monitoring ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory/Fabric), including data ingestion from databases, files, cloud storage, and APIs.
- Proficient in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling) and SQL, with experience creating dashboards and optimized queries for audit analytics.
- Experience with Databricks and API-based data extraction (REST/SOAP) is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of audit principles and applying data analytics to risk assessment and substantive testing.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; Python or R knowledge is a plus.
