As a Data Analyst, you must have the skills to gather, scrutinize, transform and analyze data according to business requirements. You must have a high business acumen, and can maintain good stakeholder relations while also being knowledgeable in the technical skills needed in the data profession. The role starts with understanding the business problem, going through the entire data analysis process with assistance from other data/business professionals as needed, and then presenting the data-driven business decision to the key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Works with key stakeholders to understand the operational problem of the business, analyzes the problem domain and validates requirements
- Collects, transforms, and organizes necessary data from multiple sources; analyzes, designs, visualizes and shares insights that drive data-driven decisions.
- Regularly works with other business professionals and subject matter experts for support and feedback
- Handles and manages projects with multiple stakeholders and delivers quality output in a timely manner
- Generates insights and presents recommendations to clients
Qualifications
- Can understand overall functions and day-to-day operations of a business
- High in business acumen, including finance
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Can handle and switch in between multiple projects
- 1-3 years prior experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or as a Business Analyst
- Statistical Methods and Analyses
- Knowledge about Predictive Analytics
- Advanced Excel
- SQL
- R/Python
- Experience in using data visualization or Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent in client relations and presentation skills
