COMMERCIAL DATA ANALYST


Location: Clark, Philippines
Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00am to 4:00pm
Work Arrangement: Onsite/Remote

About the role. . .

In this role, you will focus on leveraging large datasets to uncover actionable insights that will directly impact on our pricing, trade & buying strategies. Your expertise in statistical analysis will be essential in driving the development of our reporting and enhancing efforts to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and support balanced, strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with large datasets to perform statistical analysis, basket analysis, and other data-driven studies to inform pricing and trade strategies.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of reporting and pricing tools and effectively communicate these changes to key stakeholders.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for key stakeholders including stock availability, pricing analysis & stock vs sales overviews.
  • Work closely with the commercial and trade departments to ensure that data insights are effectively integrated into decision-making processes.
  • Develop and Implement Forecasting and buying templates & reporting to support goods flow on a Weekly monthly and annual level
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to inform internal teams of future business direction in relation to products, pricing and KPI's whilst analyzing data to identify and mitigate margin leakage across product categories.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Relevant master's degree in economics, Statistics/Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a data-centric analytical role, preferably within pricing and/or retail.
  • Strong coding skills in PowerBI, SQL, Power Query, VBA, Python, R or similar.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and working with large datasets.
  • Strong business acumen with a bias towards data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
