About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to transform complex, messy data into clean, structured insights. Your expertise in Power Query, Power BI, and Excel will be crucial in driving data-driven decision-making across our client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform and clean data using Power Query from multiple sources (Excel, SharePoint, APIs)
- Design and develop scalable, performant Power BI data models (star schema, normalization, etc.)
- Create DAX measures and calculated columns for business reporting and analysis
- Optimize Excel data preparation for seamless integration with Power BI workflows
- Work within the Power BI Service ecosystem: workspace management, dataset refreshes, publishing reports
- Troubleshoot and validate data issues with strong analytical problem-solving
- Connect to diverse data sources, including SharePoint and basic web APIs
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation for data pipelines
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Power Query (M language): shaping, cleaning, and transforming data
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices for Power BI
- Intermediate DAX knowledge: CALCULATE, context transitions, time intelligence
- Advanced Excel capabilities for data structuring and transformation
- Familiarity with Power BI Service features, including dataset refresh and workspace use
- Experience connecting to SharePoint lists/files and web APIs
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to data integrity
- Willingness to work onsite during night shift hours (between 9:00 PM 11:00 PM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SQL to query and analyze relational databases
- Familiarity with Python (Pandas) for advanced data manipulation and automation
