Job Summary
The Data Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis. Produces recurring reports, tracks key financial data and analyzes sales and business strategies for the company.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gathering raw data from diverse primary and secondary sources like databases, APIs, surveys, and web scraping.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Removing errors, duplicates, and inconsistenciesoften cited as the most time-consuming part (up to 80-90% of the role)to ensure data integrity.
- Statistical Analysis: Applying mathematical and statistical techniques to identify correlations, trends, and outliers in large datasets.
- Visualization & Reporting: Creating interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working with IT teams, engineers, and business leaders to define KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Provide timely and accurate information for internal and external reporting
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of financial reports; cash flow
- Analyze results, looking for trends and variances, which are to be communicated timely to management, and provide financial guidance in addressing them
- Create models of cash flow and analysis, all to support short-term and long-term planning
- Improve upon existing and create new financial reporting as needed
- Understand and fulfill financial information needs across all departments of the company
- Create continuous automation of reporting to ensure the most accurate and efficient delivery of information to management
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- 2 years, minimum, experience in corporate finance; international business exposure preferred
- Project management in finance and systems arenas
- Strong analytic, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Excellent database reporting and modeling skills
- Highest standard of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities
- SQL (database querying), Python/R (statistical programming), Excel (advanced formulas/PivotTables), and Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
Educational/Certification Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Data Science required
Experience Requirement
- Work Experience: 2+ yrs. of Database Management and Power BI Reporting
