As a Data Analyst (Project Hire), you will be part of the Data Science Team which works with various business units to discover and develop models, products, or solutions that help the bank achieve its objectives such as improving the operations of the bank, reducing business costs, or increasing the bank's revenues. In this role, we expect you to be highly analytical, resourceful, and thorough with skills in statistics, math, data science, and data analysis. Critical thinking and problem solving are foremost requirements for coming up with business insights to help stakeholders make data-driven decisions. You will also be required to communicate these insights and reports effectively to the stakeholders in both oral and written forms.
How You'll Contribute
- Able to perform data loading, cleansing, transformation, and analysis Comfortable with working with large and varied amounts of data across different platforms and sources
- Has a good level of skill with Python
- Able to perform data modelling, including feature selection and engineering
- Works with different units of the bank to determine key areas that can be improved by data science
- Able to communicate insights and findings to various stakeholders Works with business analysts in the deployment of the models created (e.g. provide assistance and needed information)
What We're Looking For
- Must be a Bachelor's degree holder in Mathematics/Statistics/Physics, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking; graduate degree in Data Science or other equivalent field is preferred
- With at least 3 years data analysis and statistical analyses;
- Knowledge in Python primarily; Any of the following programming languages are a plus (SAS, R, and other data analytics tools)
- Practical knowledge of machine learning and deep learning models, data mining and wrangling
- Data story telling skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, visualization skills
