Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that meet unique business requirements. The role includes coding, testing, and refining components within various systems or applications. Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders is a key part of the daily routine to ensure the delivery of efficient and scalable software products that align with organizational goals. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to promote continuous learning. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align software development with business objectives. - Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of software components. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance team productivity. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies. - Experience in designing and implementing scalable software solutions. - Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing code for performance. - Familiarity with integrating software components across multiple systems. - Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and communicate technical concepts clearly. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV. - This position is based at our Manila office.
