Overview:
The Credit Risk Lead is responsible for shaping and implementing the bank's credit risk and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and policies. This role works closely with teams across the organization to ensure effective execution of risk frameworks. As a senior officer, the position requires professionalism, leadership, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit risk management policies and procedures aligned with the organization's risk appetite and regulatory requirements
- Establish ESG risk policies that support the bank's sustainability objectives
- Integrate sustainable finance principles across business units and provide guidance to ensure compliance
- Lead the preparation of credit risk and ESG-related reports for senior management
- Advise stakeholders on credit risk and ESG matters, offering expert insights and recommendations
- Oversee drafting and updating of company policies and processes
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
- Conduct training and awareness programs on credit risk and ESG standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; advanced credentials such as MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
- 710 years of experience in credit risk management, ideally within a bank or fintech company
- Strong knowledge of ESG and sustainable finance principles
- 35 years of leadership experience with proven team management skills
