This role acts as a bridge between clients, sales, and technical teams, translating business challenges into actionable credit risk analytics and consulting solutions. You will work closely with financial institutions to help optimize credit risk decisioning through advanced analytics and advisory offerings. The role combines client engagement, solution design, and project delivery, providing exposure to both strategic consulting and technical analytics.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Banking, or related field (Master's/MBA is a plus)
- 6+ years experience in credit risk analytics, modeling, or consulting within banks, financial institutions, or consulting firms
- Strong understanding of lending products, credit lifecycle, and credit risk scorecards (origination, customer management, collections)
- Experience in predictive analytics techniques (regression, machine learning) in credit risk is preferred
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong Advantage:
- Experience in pre-sales, client-facing consulting, or solutioning roles
- Exposure to IFRS9 or ECL modeling
- Knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytics tools
- Familiarity with credit bureau data
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client needs through RFPs, discussions, and workshops, identifying business objectives and credit risk challenges
- Design and present tailored analytics or consulting solutions to address client requirements
- Respond to client queries and recommend improvements to existing practices
- Develop proposals covering scope, delivery approach, timelines, and commercial estimates
- Support pre-sales activities and participate in client solution workshops
- Create project plans and coordinate internal and client delivery teams
- Define key data requirements and assess data quality and sufficiency
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, budgets, and timelines
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
