Title: Credit Analyst

Employment: Under Payreto, with possible deployment to a client

Work Setup: Full onsite in Makati

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Reporting To: Credit Risk Manager

Position Overview

The Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting robust financial risk assessments and managing debt settlement operations to achieve minimized default rates and sustainable loan refinancing outcomes by delivering empathetic customer guidance and data-driven credit insights. Operating with a senior level of execution, this role ensures all loan evaluations and settlement structures align perfectly with the company's risk appetite and regulatory frameworks.

Main Responsibilities

1. Credit Assessment & Risk Management

  • Evaluate borrower creditworthiness by performing deep-dive analyses on credit bureau reports, bank statements, and KYC documentation.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and risk profiling for loan applications to determine capacity and alignment with internal credit policies.
  • Formulate independent, well-reasoned credit decisions within approved authority thresholds to balance business growth with portfolio safety.
  • Identify early-warning default indicators and recommend structural mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's capital.

2. Debt Settlement & Refinancing Operations

  • Assess borrower repayment capacities rigorously prior to restructuring to ensure the long-term feasibility of the consolidated settlement structure.
  • Execute end-to-end settlement processing for current liabilities, ensuring full accuracy in the consolidation of multiple obligations.
  • Validate and secure undisputed proof of loan closures from third-party lenders to maintain audit-ready financial records.
  • Facilitate direct debit and standing order configuration for borrowers to optimize repayment consistency and prevent collection bottlenecks.
  • Partner cross-functionally with legal and internal risk teams to accelerate turnaround times for refinanced loan disbursements.

3. Empathetic Customer Assistance & Counseling

  • Guide borrowers transparently through complex loan settlement phases, clarifying structural milestones, obligations, and timelines.
  • Resolve borrower disputes and grievances using advanced interpersonal sensitivity, turning highly stressed interactions into solution-driven touchpoints.
  • Provide proactive financial counseling, ensuring borrowers fully comprehend the positive long-term impact of compliant settlements on their credit profiles.

4. Risk Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze settlement outcomes, portfolio repayment behaviors, and default trends using advanced Excel models and CRM architectures.
  • Manage large, complex credit datasets with rigid adherence to data hygiene and data privacy standards.
  • Generate data-driven insights and diagnostic reporting to consistently refine credit analysis and settlement mediation protocols.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & External Relations

  • Align risk and customer retention strategies by collaborating smoothly with internal Customer Support, Risk Management, and Legal pillars.
  • Manage formal communications and transactional closure sequences with external lenders and financial institutions to ensure zero-friction loan buyouts.
  • Communicate settlement variables, structural progress, and compliance updates transparently to all key stakeholders.

  • Compliance & Operational Rigor: Strict adherence to local lending regulations, internal credit policies, and structured data privacy standards.
  • Empathetic Service Delivery: Strong commitment to guiding financially distressed borrowers through complex settlement phases with interpersonal sensitivity and clarity.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a heavily quantitative discipline.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or credit risk management within the banking, FinTech, or lending sectors.

Language

Native/fluent proficiency in Tagalog is mandatory, with high professional proficiency in English, written and spoken, SpeechX B2+.
