Role Summary

The Creative Marketing Specialist at CTJ (Carl The Jeweller) is responsible for leading refined, high-impact creative marketing initiatives that support brand storytelling, private client engagement, and revenue-generating retail and bespoke activities.

This role bridges creative excellence, strategic thinking, and commercial awareness. It requires strong independent judgment, discretion, and ownershipensuring all campaigns and outputs reflect CTJ's positioning as a prestige jeweller serving discerning, high-net-worth clientele.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and ideation, while maintaining strong independent creative judgment and craftsmanship-led execution.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Brand Execution

  • Develop and execute high-quality creative assets across CTJ's digital, retail, and private client touchpoints, including curated social content, campaign visuals, short-form videos, invitations, lookbooks, private client materials, and in-store collaterals
  • Design and edit using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, maintaining exceptional attention to detail and consistency
  • Support and oversee photoshoots, fittings, and select content sessions, ensuring outputs meet CTJ's refined visual standards
  • Act as a brand gatekeeper, ensuring only work aligned with CTJ's aesthetic, tone, and prestige positioning is released

360 Campaign Leadership & Retail Alignment

  • Lead and execute 360 marketing campaigns across digital, retail, experiential, and private client touchpoints, with a clear focus on brand elevation, qualified engagement, and sales conversionnot limited to social media content
  • Collaborate closely with business development, sales, and leadership teams to support private viewings, bespoke commissions, auctions, launches, and client-led initiatives
  • Ensure campaigns are cohesive across all channels, including content, retail materials, client communications, and events
  • Translate product narratives, gemstones, craftsmanship details, and pricing structures into sophisticated, client-appropriate storytelling

Strategic Planning & Creative Direction

  • Contribute to campaign strategy, including objectives, target audience definition, messaging, and creative directionnot limited to execution of pre-defined briefs
  • Prepare clear creative briefs and, when required, coordinate or direct external vendors, freelancers, and production partners
  • Recommend creative approaches that balance brand impact with budget, production realities, and resource efficiency

Ownership & Accountability

  • Take full ownership of assigned campaignsfrom concept and planning to execution, coordination, and post-campaign review
  • Demonstrate accountability for both creative excellence and commercial outcomes, including sales support, client engagement, and conversion impact
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Identify gaps, risks, or opportunities and propose solutions without waiting for instruction

AI-Enabled Creative Excellence

  • Utilize AI tools to enhance ideation, refinement, workflow efficiency, and exploration of creative directions
  • Apply AI as a supporting tool, not a creative substitute, ensuring outputs remain original, intentional, and human-led
  • Stay informed on emerging creative technologies relevant to luxury branding and retail

Client Journey, Discretion & Commercial Awareness

  • Understand how creative execution supports the private client journeyfrom awareness and trust-building to appointment and conversion
  • Handle high-value, client-facing materials with discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity to privacy and exclusivity
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, understanding how brand storytelling supports long-term revenue without overt selling

Performance Review & Long-Term Brand Building

  • Review campaign performance using both qualitative insights and available metrics to refine creative direction
  • Contribute to long-term brand building, not just short-term campaign output

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Multimedia Arts, Communications, or related field
  • 35 years experience in creative marketing, brand, or content roles
  • Experience in luxury, high-end retail, jewelry, fashion, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; strong working knowledge of Canva
  • Practical understanding of AI tools for creative and marketing workflows, applied with strong independent judgment
