Job Description

We're seeking a versatile and self-driven Creative Designer to serve as our in-house creative expert. As the sole creative team member, you'll work independently on all visual design projects, partnering closely with our marketing team to bring strategic initiatives to life. This role requires someone who can operate autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver exceptional creative work across all mediums.

This will be a fully remote role (6-month contract), based out of your residing location.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy & Execution

  • Independently ideate, propose, and execute creative concepts and designs that align with client strategic objectives and business goals
  • Develop original brand identities and apply them cohesively across print, digital, and experiential mediums
  • Take projects from initial concept through to final delivery with minimal supervision
  • Make sound creative decisions and recommendations based on project objectives and brand guidelines

Design & Production

  • Design websites, landing pages, social media content, event collaterals, short video animations, and other digital assets
  • Create high-quality graphics and layouts for campaigns across all channels
  • Prepare production-ready files and assets for both digital deployment and/or print manufacturing

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the marketing team to translate marketing strategies into compelling visual narratives
  • Collaborate with the program management team to address client feedback, creative requests, and project requirements
  • Communicate design concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders and clients

Brand Stewardship & Innovation

  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all deliverables
  • Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and creative best practices
  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate brand presence and creative output

Requirements:

Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in graphic design, preferably in an agency, in-house, or freelance capacity
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and managing full project lifecycles
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience owning design projects from concept to completion without a creative team structure

Technical Skills

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Figma)
  • Proficiency in presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint/Google Slides)
  • Working knowledge of motion graphics and video editing tools (e.g. After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Midjourney, Firefly, etc.) is a plus
  • Understanding of web design principles and basic familiarity with design handoff for development

  • Strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating versatility across digital and print design
  • Excellent eye for layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Solid understanding of both digital and print production processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
