Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible in managing daily accounting operations, including invoicing, reconciliations, billing, and journal entries. The role provides leadership and guidance to the Connext accounting team while ensuring financial accuracy and reporting compliance. It operates with minimal supervision and supports ERP integration and process improvements.

Job Description:

• Process vendor invoices in multiple QBO companies to include reviewing coding and appropriate recognition of expense in accordance with GAAP, and customer payments, to include deferring recognition of revenues until earned and monitoring costs in excess of billings

• Conduct daily QBO bank feed reviews for both bank and credit card transactions, including month-end bank reconciliation of the operating accounts for both the parent company and its subsidiaries, payroll, and other bank accounts.

• Ensure proper job costing, to include rolling the inventory balance forward so expenses are recognized when incurred, and code expenses to the correct GL.

• Work with additional ERP software that interfaces with QBO, such as IntegraRental, DASH, and Ramp, amongst others.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for transaction tracking, data validation, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

• Post accounts payable (A/P) bills accurately in QuickBooks Online.

• Manage and respond to emails in the A/P and Accounts Receivable (A/R) mailboxes using Outlook.

• Monitor and process Divvy credit card transactions using Bill.com.

• Directs and supervises other Connext staff to ensure productivity is maintained and transactional processing is accurate and completed timely.

• Assist with various accounting projects and process improvements as needed.

• Prepares month-end analytics to ensure accurate reporting of the balance sheet and P&L to include variance analytics, data analysis to find transactional/processing exceptions, and other ad hoc analysis.

• Takes ownership over their assigned responsibilities and understands how their contributions contribute to the Company's success.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to include filtering, drafting formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.

• Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including cyclical journal entries, debits and credits, accruals, and general ledger entries. Must also understand the relationship between GAAP financial statements and the impact of transactional processing on those financial statements.

• Maintains exceptional accuracy and precision in all tasks, ensuring correctness in financial transactions.

• Demonstrates strong collaboration skills by providing support and sharing knowledge to help achieve team goals and meet deadlines.

• Exhibits adaptability and openness to learning, effectively navigating evolving processes and technologies in fast-paced work settings.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication in English to team members, vendors, and clients.

Schedule: 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Tuesday - Saturday
