THE ROLE
We are seeking a Cost Estimator to join an independent cost estimating firm. The candidate will be responsible for developing conceptual and detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects across all phases of design. This position requires a strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and current market trends.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service.
LOCATION: Must be residing in the Philippines Remote.
ENVIRONMENT: Philippines and International Teams.
LANGUAGE: Advanced English (B2+ - C1)

Essential Functions
Conceptual & Detailed Estimating
- Develop conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document cost estimates.
- Prepare comprehensive budgets and cost models aligned with project scope and client objectives.
- Continuously refine estimates as projects evolve through various design phases.
Quantity Take-Off & Cost Analysis
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs across all CSI construction divisions, including sitework, structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project narratives to determine scope, assumptions, and risk factors.
- Identify cost drivers and assess potential cost exposures early in the design process.
Value Engineering & Cost Optimization
- Provide estimate revisions, alternates, and value engineering recommendations.
- Develop cost-saving strategies while maintaining project quality and performance standards.
- Support clients with informed recommendations based on market trends and industry benchmarks.
Market Research & Industry Awareness
- Monitor material, labor, and subcontractor pricing trends.
- Maintain updated knowledge of regional construction markets and supply chain impacts.
- Apply data-driven insights to strengthen estimate accuracy and competitiveness.
Collaboration & Client Support
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
- Present estimates and findings clearly and professionally to internal teams and clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high accuracy standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in architecture, construction, or building systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
- Experience with cost estimating software and digital take-off tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to precision and accountability.
Preferred
- Experience with Togal.AI takeoff software.
- Experience in independent cost estimating.
- Professional certifications such as ASPE, LEED, AIA, or similar credentials.
