Job description
The Cost Accounting Specialist is responsible for driving financial transparency and supporting strategic decision-making within the Supply Chain. This role focuses on analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance, and contributing to cross-functional projects through insightful cost and budget assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and explain key variances in profit and loss statements and balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to evaluate the financial impact of ongoing and new initiatives
- Maintain organized historical financial data to support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and differentiate between recurring and non-recurring financial transactions
- Support month-end closing activities, addressing and resolving related issues
- Monitor and manage capital expenditures through internal order tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, or BSBA major in Accounting
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in the following areas:
- Financial management and reporting
- Spare parts and capital expenditure tracking
- Financial modeling, analysis, and advisory
- Accruals, particularly for transportation and warehousing
- Proficiency in SAP is highly preferred
- Willing to be assigned in Bicutan (Paraaque) or Canlubang (Laguna)
