Job Description

The Corporate Finance team acts as the Aboitiz Group's in-house financial adviser, supporting Business Development Units and Senior Management in the area of high corporate finance (e.g. investments & valuation). The Corporate Finance Officers work will be used by the Corporate Finance Managers or AVP to advise Senior Management to make strategic capital investment decisions. An efficient multi-tasker working on multiple projects at a time, the Corporate Finance Officer will focus on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big-picture challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Modeling and Business Valuation: Prepare and/or review financial models and/or business valuations which will be used in screening and evaluating investment opportunities of the Aboitiz Group's business units. This may entail gathering data, working with relevant internal personnel, and assisting external advisers on the preparation of financial models and business valuations.
  • Financial and Investment Analysis: Assist the Manager, AVP, and/or VP of Corporate Finance in providing financial advisory services to various operating units to determine the possible impact of relevant issues on valuation and investment cases. Work streams include conducting research, challenging the validity of assumptions, evaluating the impact of deal structures and financing options, and preparing management reports and presentations. The ability to communicate key investment value and key risk drivers is critical.
  • Development and Implementation of Group-wide financial policies: Work with the Corporate Finance Team to ensure that group-wide financial policies are developed and optimized in a timely manner. This includes gathering of data, researching, and preparing the relevant materials.

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related roles
  • Has a basic knowledge on preparing and reviewing financial models and business valuations
