Job Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for renewable energy projects from pre-construction to commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Site Coordination & Oversight
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning activities.
Health, Safety & Quality Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular toolbox meetings and safety audits.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control activities across all construction stages.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with local authorities, vendors, landowners, and project partners to secure needed permits and ensure smooth site operations.
- Provide regular progress reports and project updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Address and resolve construction-related issues and risks proactively.
Budget & Documentation
- Monitor budget performance, manage cost controls, and ensure project expenses stay within approved limits.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily site logs, progress reports, change orders, and completion records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Professional license/board certification is an advantage (e.g., Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer).
- Additional training or certification in renewable energy technologies is preferred.
- Minimum 58 years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, or biomass).
- Proven track record in managing large-scale EPC projects, site supervision, and contractor coordination.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy construction standards, equipment installation, and commissioning processes.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Project Leadership- Able to guide multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and commissioning phases with clear direction and alignment.
